Now that I'm at home I have lots of time to bake. Over the weekend I was craving something sweet and I didn't have enough ingredients to make anything fancy, so I made my favorite chocolate chip cookies.
Here's how they looked:
Ingredients:
| Ingredient | Quantity |
|---|---|
| all-purpose flour | 2 cups |
| baking soda | 1 ¼ teaspoons |
| kosher salt | 1 tablespoon |
| unsalted butter (softened) | 8 ounces |
| packed light brown sugar | 1 ½ cups |
| white sugar | ¼ cup |
| eggs | 2 |
| vanilla extract | 1 tablespoon |
| chopped bittersweet chocolate | 2 cups |
Note: due to the coronavirus thing going on I couldn't go to the store to get white sugar so I used all brown sugar. I also reduced the amount of salt to ⅔ tablespoon because my mom doesn't like salty cookies. They still tasted pretty good!
